East Coast

Carmen and I went out the the east coast for 10 days this summer, here is a little picture diary of the places we traveled and the things we saw.

Our first few days were spent in Halifax, this is a street in downtown Halifax.

Eating lobster at Murphy's on the Water.

We went on a Tall Ship Pirate Sailing Cruise in Halifax.

Here we are with the pirates, although they were not very pirate like.

Here I am on a sand dune at the beach on a rainy cold day.

Carm on a cliff somewhere between Ingonish and Neils Harbour.

This was Carm's typical pose throughout the trip. Here I am doing it with her.

That's me on the rock.

Carm and I went on a small hike and this is what we saw at the end of it. So beautiful....

We went on this Fiddlin' Whale watching tour in Pleasant Bay.

...and this is what we saw - pilot whales.

It was another cold and wet day in Cape Breton.

We also saw a humpback whale! They had not seen a humpback whale in about a month along this coast line and our captain was so excited to try to find this whale that another boat had seen earlier that day... we found it!

Time to go to PEI - here we are on the ferry and the sun is shining!

Point Prim Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse on PEI, built in 1845 and the only round brick lighthouse in Canada.

We ate at this restaurant, Fish Bones, in Charlottetown.

This one is for you mom...

When my parents were in Australia they saw this coffee shop, Kasha Coffee Lounge. I could not resist the previous picture when I saw Linda's Coffee Shop, that's my mom's name.

Going Home

View of the prairie sky on the drive back to Saskatchewan for our prairie vacation.

Bobbi and I out for an evening prairie walk by Spy Hill.

Bobbi and the sunset at Aunty Sharon and Uncle Ken's farm by Spy Hill.

Me and the beautiful prairie sky.

Mom, Bobbi and I met Windelle (a family friend) and her family at Dairy Queen in Moosomin. Here I am with her little guy Marek (or as I like to call him Jimmy).

Bobbi and Windelle's oldest.

Same truck? My dad and Uncle Don have bought the same truck and did not even know it. They are both 2001 and are almost identical trucks, there must be some sibling connection between them.

View of the farm where I grew up from across the valley.

Down by the Cutarm Creek, where we used to play as kids.

Bobbi at the Cutarm Creek.

More of the farm.
