Calgary Folk Festival

Carmen and I took in all 4 days of the Calgary Folk Fest this year. It was fun times - the location of Prince's Island Park is a great place to relax on your blankets/tarps and take in live music, even in the rain. It was also great to catch up with a few friends during the weekend. I think it might be an event I attend each year. Want to come next year?

Things I love, love, love in Edmonton - Part 1

Tonight Sara, Tamar and I went to see As You Like It at the Freewill Shakespeare Festival in Hawrelak Park and I must say that it is one of my all time favorite summertime things to do in Edmonton. I love the way the actors bring so much life to the plays, the squirrels scampering at your feet, the coolness of a summer night in Edmonton, the sun as it sets over the stage - I love love love it all.

This past weekend my cousin graduated from high school and I made the trip back home to celebrate. Although I missed the ceremony for my 10 year high school reunion, it was great to be home and see her all dressed up and finishing high school.
